Airport day finally came like a bullet.
We had a total of maybe 12-13 bags! Similar to when we were moving to Costa Rica. Except this time, my brother wasn't with us. My family and I have already experienced 10 months of not having him around ever since he went off to college for freshman year. I have not gone a day without wishing that he was with us and having our family of four complete, but I knew God had specific plans for him to fulfill in his life.
As we were checking our bags in, two of my amazing friends came to say their final good byes. One friend had waited about 3 hours just to say bye to me!! Thanks :) My other friend handed me a large pink album book. As I flipped through the intricately decorated pages, I saw that they were filled with letters from my church friends. I was speechless! My mom saw what they have done for me and she had to turn around as tears welled up in her eyes.
We finally said our goodbyes and as my family and I walked to the gate for our first plane, I knew this book was filled with amazing things that I could not wait to open up and see for myself. After a while, we got on the plane (that was headed to Miami) and took our seats. 20 minutes of being in the air, I took a deep breath and opened up the precious scrapbook.
